Ultrasonography
Not only ultrasongraphy can be use to evaluate and monitor growth of the fetus in pregnant women in every trimester, but also ultrasonography can show the presence of follicles (the sacs containing developing eggs) and the thickness of the uterine tissues in women undergo ovarian stimulation in infertility treatment. Ultrasonography can also show abnormal conditions such as ovarian cysts, hydrosalpinx, adenomyosis or fibroids (benign tumors in the uterus).
